20150427 railfanning from Gilbert Park

Pictures taken April 27, 2015. I grabbed this shot from Forest on the way to the library. A commuter cab car on M3 and a parked intermodal on M2. The image to the right is a closeup of the following photo.

I waited for the commuter to try for some Spring foliage shots. (Facebooked)

Confirmation that the view of trains on the tracks from the Library doesn't work.
Except for the last three pictures, these were taken from various spots around Gilbert Park. Details of the trains such as time and engines have been documented in a posting.

Facebook video of a rotary coal dumper
Dennis DeBruler Note the colors of red, yellow and blue. The yellow car is of note because it is what I have heard called a "bathtub gondola." It must be rotary dumped. The others have what appears to be more typical now --- longitudinal dump gates on the bottom. But I notice they also have the rotary coupler so that they can be dumped either way.

I got caught by a commuter on my way home at Forest Ave.

Picture taken to check the time the camera is adding to the photos metadata.
